Zzzzzzzz ..... Horned Frogs to Poinsettia Bowl because they lost to SMU
ego Union Tribune sports writer Brent Schrotenboer just broke the bad news to Horned Frog nation - TCU is going to the Poinsettia Bowl vs. La. Tech.
After playing the big room in each of the last two years in the Fiesta and Rose Bowls, the Frogs are back to the games that only a gambling junkie can love where 18,000 is a legit attendance figure.
What a total buzz kill this is for the Frogs.
Why even bother? I didn't even know Louisiana Tech had a football team. The Techsters finished 8-4 to win the mighty WAC this season.
If someone had told a TCU fan in the offseason the Frogs would finish 10-2, win the MWC and reach this bowl game they may have said, "Good year."
