Seems that the American Football Coaches Association decided to have Warden Art speak at their upcoming convention. Of course, there was a pretty strong backlash and rightfully so. But, what the hell were they thinking?

As one wag put it, "What's next? A symposium led by Jerry Sandusky on 'The Pros and Cons of Youth Football Camps'?"

They actually cancelled his appearance due to the controversy.

If you are trying to scare coaches straight and into doing the right thing you need to make sure the speaker is wearing a prison uniform as result of their misdeeds.

This is instructive as it shows that eventually Art will get another coaching gig. It’s just too early but someone at some point will figure they have nothing to lose and hire him. He already has a constituency ready to move on.

Actually, he has, in effect, already been hired. UH/Applewhite hired Art's son to coach and many people believe that when UH hired Art's son, they automatically get Art too since his son will be consulting with Art on a regular basis.

BS. That bastage wasn’t going to admit anything. He was going to play that he was unaware and what he would have done differently in hindsight. The only thing that bothers Briles is that he got caught.

He wasn't going to admit a damned thing. Confession isn't a thing for a grifter, except when used as a tool to find new marks. Enough people are aware that any such "confession" from Briles is nothing more than a sob story, omitting any truths which might be damaging, and a stepping stone back to acceptance.
