Am I correct that an OU win and OSU loss means OU has locked up the Big 12 champ berth and the last spot goes to TCU if we beat BU or ISU loses to KSU? And the only other team in contention is ISU, and they have to beats KSU and have us lose to BU?
Edit: isn’t there a scenario where we lose to BU, ISU beats KSU, and UT beats Tech and TCU, UT, ISU are all at 6-3 and 1-1 Against each other and we still get in on point differential? Or no?
Someone may have answered this, but I believe the only way we miss out is if ISU wins and WV, UT, OSU and TCU lose.
edit: Wait, on second thought, I think any 3-way tie involving us and ISU would be won by ISU, except if the 3rd team is WV, who would win in that scenario. I believe any combination of teams in that scenario would result in each team being 1-1 against the others, and ISU would advance because they beat the best non-tied team (OU), except if WV is in there, they would’ve beaten OU too, so they’d advance on H2H over ISU.
Any 4-way or 5-way tie and we would win based on best record among the tied teams against the others. Only OSU could match our 1 loss, and we’d advance over them on H2H.
