For those who never met Billy, the guy was razor sharp with a very quick, acerbic wit. Probably why so many refs hated him.

Can’t remember who it was that fouled out but he refused to sit down and stood awhile. During timeouts the students would continue the left-right chant as he walked to and from the huddle. Ended up sitting down and the students went nuts

I remember something like that in I'd like to say a Tulsa game... but I've slept and done other things a lot since then.

I was always a big fan of the chant when a player fouled out and didn't score much - "5 FOULS, X POINTS"

There is no way that was a foul in the ND game.

I always thought the "reading the newspapers" gag was pretty funny. The "throw them at the visiting team" part was very bush league.

The cheerleaders did it on the court during the late 90's and early 2000's. Just reading the newspapers, not throwing them at the opposing team.
