Cool of Wimbledon to finally honor Cam this way.
It's more of an informal designation used by Cam's fans.;) You can't really expect the same sort of people who torpedoed Boaty McBoatface to keep up with the times officially.

Stalder falls 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (3-7), 6-7 (7-9) in a grueling 3-hour match at Winston-Salem. So close.

Gray's first round match in the main draw at Martos has now been set - he'll face a 33-year-old Dane named Frederik Nielson, who has an ATP ranking of #574 and a career high of #190. Alastair is currently #1044 - he'll be a big underdog. Gray and Ewan Moore are already in the quarters in doubles - they'll face 3-time Virginia Cavalier national champ J.C. Aragone and Australian Daniel Nolan.

Rybakov's first round match in Buffalo has also been announced - he'll play David Volfson, a Canadian who stars at Cornell. Alex is #911 and Volfson is #1131, so Rybo will be favored. The match may be tomorrow, but the schedule hasn't been set.

And Norrie v. De Schepper is also tomorrow.

Not the greatest of news today. Cam lost to De Schepper 5-7, 7-5, 4-6 in the first round at Nottingham today - he reported his stolen shoes to the sheriff there, but the guy is too corrupt to do anything about it. Alastair lost to Nielsen 2 and 4 at Martos in the first round of the main draw (after fighting through 3 qualie matches). But Rybo just blew out Volfson 6-1, 6-1 at Buffalo in the first round and will face Gonzalo Lama (a Chilean ranked #675) in the 2nd round. And Alex, teaming w/ John McNally, an 18-year-old who I think is skipping college, are already in the Round of 16 in doubles and Alastair and Ewan Moore are still in the quarters in doubles in Spain. For Cam, it's doubles with Bambo in Nottingham and then on to Manchester (where he and Arriana Grande will be doing a benefit concert).

Alex Rybakov won the Buffalo Futures Tourney yesterday over Naoki Nakagawa 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. This is a huge win for Alex - his first ever on the pro tour! He's likely to make a big jump from #901 in the next rankings. Next up for Rybo is the Rochester Futures Tourney, where he's scheduled to play the villainous Thai-son Kwiatkowski, the NCAA champ, in the first round.

Cam Norrie got a wild card into the Queen's Club Challenger and he's scheduled to open against Sam Querrey, a U.S. Davis Cupper tomorrow in the first round.

Gray and Stalder both made it to the 2nd round of the qualies at Playa del Rio and Winston-Salem, but both lost yesterday.

Norrie goes on court against Querrey in 20 minutes or so. Querrey is ranked #27 in the world (at one point was #17). Querrey is a big guy/server, so will be difficult for Norrie to beat him on grass.

Rybakov is up to #691 btw.

I don't think Norrie has won a point. Down 3-0 in like four minutes

Drops the first set 6-1. Good news is that after 3-0, he was close in every game and had a bunch of break points.

Hopefully he can keep set 2 closer. All locked up at 4-4 in 2nd set

Norrie loses 6-1, 6-4

Hopefully a good learning experience.

Norrie got his first ATP win today (over a top 50 opponent no less). Beat #49 Zeballos in Aegon Eastbourne tournament. He moved up to #220 in the world, a new career high.

His next match is against #2 seed Monfils (#16 in the world). Not really a great match-up, but could be worse.

Hes been pretty terrible this year for his standards (Monfils) but thats a pretty tough matchup

Federer destroying everything at his age is ridiculous. Must go to wimbledon.

The Wimbledon draw was announced today and Cam will play 12th seeded Jo Wilfred Tsonga in the first round. Tsonga, from France is ranked #10 in the latest ATP rankings and my considered analysis is that Cam has no chance. ESPN3 will be covering all the outer courts, so it might be available on streaming.

After winning at Buffalo, Alex Rybakov has now lost in the first round at Rochester and Tulsa. And Reese Stalder won his first two qualies at Tulsa but lost his third rounder which would have made him eligible for the main draw. However, the two teamed in doubles and made the quarters at Tulsa. There's another Tulsa tourney and then on to Wichita.

Tsonga actually played well so I would consider it a success.

Nadal looked awesome and I'm sure Federer will blank his opponent. great match right now with Karlovic vs Bedene. 5 setter, first 4 sets all tie breakers

Just to kind of update this thread.

Norrie won a challenger earlier this summer and his ranking was briefly inside top 200.

He just won three qualifying matches at US Open and will be in the main draw! Very good news for him. I think within 12 months he could get himself to a place where he is close to top 100
