Palladium-Item: Bane reflects on breakout Wettig that led him to TCU

RICHMOND, Ind. - Desmond Bane and Texas Christian University moved into the top 10 of this week’s NCAA national poll, and remain one of three unbeaten teams in the nation.

It’s hard to imagine where the Seton Catholic High School graduate would be were it not for his Bob Wettig Memorial Tournament performance as a senior.

Bane, a sophomore at TCU, was overlooked throughout most of his high school career, before being named the Most Outstanding Player in one of the top tournaments in the state of Indiana, where the Cardinals finished third as a team.

“The Wettig was huge for me as far as a recruiting standpoint and just across the state period,” Bane told the Palladium-Item Friday.

Lots of those little places up here. Butler has made a living off these schools. A bit like GP in football. It might not hurt Jamie to mine IN. They have a hard time keeping people in State like Texas HS football right now (see IU).
