MyNorthwest: Trevone Boykin says he’s ‘settled down’ in second year with Seahawks

LISTEN: Trevone Boykin explains what has changed for him in second year with Seahawks
Seahawks backup quarterback Trevone Boykin joined “Bob, Groz and Tom” on 710 ESPN Seattle Monday to talk about his offseason training and what tactic he’s specifically been focusing on for games.
Boykin jumped on the show after watching the solar eclipse with his teammates – he joked that general manager John Schneider came out and told players not to look up unless they had shades – and shared what his focus has been for practice and preseason games. He said one of the main things he wanted to improve is the tempo of which he runs Seattle’s offense, and it has been a point of emphasis during training.
Second year is the charm for Trevone Boykin
“Getting in and out of the huddle, playing fast,” Boykin said. “We don’t want to let the defense dictate what we do, we want to try to push the tempo, try to get them lined up so we can know what we can do on offense.”
