I always wonder how a team spends its day, waiting for the game. I have gotten myself nervous, just waiting for tonight!! How do they keep from getting too nervous? What do they do to spend time, without tiring themselves? I've always wondered about this. Just curious.

As a former player, I'll give you the rough schedule:

Breakfast
Morning shootaround at arena
Lunch
Film / Pep talk (sometimes simultaneous with lunch)
Nap
Bus to arena (two hours prior to game)
Shootaround / back to locker room / final warm-ups / tip-off

The only time you really have "downtime" is the nap part of the day, and usually that's only a 60-90 minute window. Much easier to just focus on "the next thing" as a player, in comparison to us working stiffs who are just staring at the clock!
