Is it possible to see how many people are on KF.c?

Good question. The old software made that possible I am not so sure about this script

We're still learning the nuances of this script so we'll check to see if that's included

We do have the profanity filters installed

There is something about seeing it on this board that makes you laugh, and believe it or not, is somewhat refreshing. As long as it doesn't get out of control.

And maybe add a filter for the # of "unique viewers" to filter out those of us with multiple personalities. Until I get to one of these lunches, I remain suspicious that there's only about three or four I-O Psych graduate students running this site for research. Was in FTW a few weeks ago and drove by Pappas Burgers where it has been "reported" that KFC meets for lunch. Only served to heighten my paranoia.

Ooh this thread got fun. I was afraid with tech being involved it might have turned a bit [ Finebaum ]ty.

Well, make sure you've got the versions with "ing" on the end. Because as of 7:07 am, you didn't.
We just got it installed yesterday and we're working on it. You have to enter every word, lower and upper case, every possibility, etc.

When people get creative then we erase that one, apply what you just learned and anticipate what the next one might be

Right now I need 3-4 hours of nothing to do so that I can build the list

Not that it matters, but just for the record, the German names Kunt and Kuntz are pronounced "Koont" or "Koonts."

Only reason I know this is because, back in the 70's, I read a hilarious novel by Donald Westlake called Help, I'm Being Held Prisoner. The protagonist is the son of German immigrants named Harry Kunt. Because people are always mispronouncing his name, he develops a psychosocial reaction where he gets his revenge on society by endlessly playing practically jokes on any- and everybody. One of his pranks backfires and causes a traffic accident in which a married U.S. Senator is caught in an illicit rendezvous with his stripper mistress, creating a public scandal. The Senator throws all his weighty influence behind the prosecution of Harry, and poor ol' Harry draws a long sentence in federal prison.

That's where the novel begins, but I won't ruin it by revealing what happens after that. It's just funny, because Harry continues his practical joking ways even in prison. And he's always correcting people who mispronounce his name: "It's KOONT -- with an umlaut!"

(We don't have umlauts in English, but an umlaut is a diacritical mark (like an apostrophe) in some European languages as a guide to pronunciation. Looks like this -- ü.)

Entertaining read, if you can still find it. Probably out of print, but a digital version may still be available. Or possibly at your local Half Price Books.

I'm onboard with every bad word being filtered to some derivative of Briles. That would be great.
Thats pretty much what I am doing and for the most part I am giving Craig James a break but did keep him around for one thing
