NEW YORK – TCU (23-15) will play Georgia Tech (21-15) for the championship of the National Invitation Tournament Thursday at 7 PM CT at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN with Bob Wischusen (Play-By-Play), Fran Fraschilla (Color) and Kris Budden (Analyst) calling the action. The game can also be heard on KLIF AM 570, KESN ESPN 103.3 FM, FrogVision, TuneIn Radio with Brian Estridge (Play-By-Play) and John Denton (Color). There will also be a national radio broadcast on Westwood One with Brandon Gaudin (play-by-play) and Kelly Tripucka (Color).
THE OPPONENT
Georgia Tech, the No. 6 seed on its quadrant of the NIT bracket, defeated CSU Bakersfield, 76-61, in Tuesday’s semifinal. The Yellow Jackets are led by freshman forward Josh Okogie, who is averaging 16.2 points per game. Like TCU, GT is led by a coach in his first season with the program, Josh Pastner.

The Frogs are 0-2 all-time against Georgia Tech with both defeats coming in the 1960’s in Atlanta. The two teams last met on Dec. 21, 1967, a 70-61 win by the Yellow Jackets. The first meeting was a 112-87 Georgia Tech win on Dec. 1, 1965.
