GoFrogs: Soccer Dominates in 4-0 Win At SFA

Final Stats

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – TCU set the tone in the first half and never let up in posting a 4-0 win at Stephen F. Austin Sunday afternoon. Tijana Djuricek set up a pair of first half goals and Natalee Heiser connected twice to lead the charge.

The Rundown
TCU came out firing on all cylinders in building a 2-0 lead after the first half. The offense generated 10 shots and eight corners. It was the set pieces that proved fruitful for the Frogs as they capitalized on two.

Tijana Djuricek found the magic touch from the corner as she assisted on both goals. In the 15th minute, she found a leaping Karitas Tomasdottir, who headed in the first goal of the game.

In the 37th minute, Djuricek’s long shot deflected off the keeper setting up another corner. Once again, her feed was on target as her low cross was perfectly placed for Natalie Heiser to strike for the 2-0 lead.

TCU withstood a strong early push from SFA in the second half and put the game out of reach in the 56th minute. Ariana Owens’ long shot was saved by the SFA keeper, but it wasn’t clean and Yameen Ryan was there to clean up the rebound for a 3-0 lead.

Heiser converted her second goal of the match in the 78th minute as she finished off a solid feed from Ariana Owens for a 4-0 lead.
