The biggest thing that jumps out at Gary Patterson when he watches Iowa State?

The big guys that jump.

“Looks like a basketball team,” the TCU coach said Monday during the Big 12 coaches conference call.

The Cyclones boast four receivers who go 6-foot-1 or better, including their top pass-catcher, 6-6 Hakeem Butler. Their leading touchdown receiver is 6-5 Allen Lazard, who has five.

It will be interesting to see how aggressive CGP calls the defense against ISU. Sit back and try to cover and rush 3? Or bring the heat often like last week vs KU? Or some of both?

He will do a mixture of all in the first series, figure out which works and lock it up the rest of the way.

May give up a quick touchdown, make them feel on top of the world then just let it crumble down.
