Fanrag: TCU’s Jaylen Fisher to begin running next week
By Jon Rothstein
TCU sophomore guard Jaylen Fisher is making progress in his recovery from offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus, with head coach Jamie Dixon telling FanRag Sports that he will begin running next week.
Dixon expects Fisher, who is off crutches, to be cleared to play close to the start of the season.
In his first season at TCU, Fisher made 34 starts and averaged 9.9 points and 4.0 assists per game. Fisher, a key contributor on a team that won 24 games and the Postseason NIT title, shot 39.0 percent from the field, 38.0 percent from 3 and was an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection. The 6-foot-2 guard from Arlington, Tenn., scored 18 points on two occasions last season, the second of which came in a loss to West Virginia on Feb. 25.
