Eagles Wire: Eagles’ Halapoulivaati Vaitai getting less help at left tackle

The Sunday Night Football crew of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth must have mentioned Tyron Smith half-dozen times or so, telling the audience how much the Dallas Cowboys miss their starting left tackle who was out for a second straight game Sunday night.

Not once did they mention the Eagles being without their left tackle, probable Hall of Famer and perennial Pro Bowler Jason Peters. Peters was lost for the season after tearing ligaments in his knee on Oct. 23. He left behind a big pair of shoes to fill.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai has done a nice job slipping into them, though.
