DieHards: Oklahoma State focused on TCU, not playoff picture

Oklahoma State jumped to No. 6 in the AP Top 25 and now sits right on the periphery of the College Football Playoff picture. Regardless, the Cowboys aren’t buying the hype.
“It’s difficult to think beyond TCU this weekend,” head coach Mike Gundy said. “We just never go beyond the next week.”
The Cowboys’ focus has paid off handily in the first few weeks. Oklahoma State scored the first 21 points in every game this season. Heck, the Cowboys are averaging 35.7 points in the first half alone. The team has been laser-focused during the 3-0 start. Gundy emphasized how important that focus is to the success.
“They’ve been committed to each other since the bowl game in January,” Gundy said. “They understand the importance of preparation and focus.”
