Trae Young leads Sooner rally in 90-89 win over TCU

FORT WORTH — Trae Young piled up the big numbers.
Thirty-nine points, his fifth game of 30-plus points in this still-young season for No. 12 Oklahoma.
Fourteen assists, which would've stood as a freshman record at the school had Young himself not tied an NCAA record with 22 assists in a game just two games earlier.
And it was Young that hit the game-winning free throws with 7.9 seconds left to give the Sooners a 90-89 win at No. 10 TCU on Saturday in the Big 12 opener at Schollmaier Arena.
But in a lot of ways it was sophomore Kam McGusty who fueled Oklahoma's wild win and helped the Sooners match their win total from a season ago.
