Daily Oklahoman: TCU coach Gary Patterson wasn’t happy with 2016

After a glorious two-season stretch in which TCU football went a combined 23-3, the Horned Frogs fell back to 6-7 last season. Gary Patterson, about to begin his 17th season as the TCU head coach, isn’t particularly content even when the Frogs are flying high. Certainly 6-7 made him a little irritable.

“Any time you have a season that you don't want to have, you want to get back in as quick as you can,” Patterson said this week at Big 12 Media Days. “Really liked our off-season. Didn't like the way we ended the season. Feel like we had to get back to being more physical. We started that in January.”

Patterson used the old joke about the good news that everybody is back and the bad news is that everybody is back.
