Baseball Regional Projections

There is a lot of baseball left to play, but this is one projection if the season ended today. We are being hurt by our RPI, but we have many chances the rest of this month to improve that.

But, a weekend in Oxford, Mississippi would not be that bad.

Some pretty terrible projections. LSU not a National Seed?!? The Citadel hosting??

Again, there is a lot of baseball left, but this guy does think the RPI is weighed heavily. LSU is #14, and The Citadel is #10. So, right now these projections do fall in line.

I don't know if UT can handle the team's playing in their tourney. That's some pretty tuff competition.

Keep in mind that South Dakota already has 112 wins this year. I dont care who you play, if you are 112-9, then you have something going.

Would be awfully tough for the Frogs to win in Oxford. If the Frogs have blown their chance tohost a regional, I'd almost rather they played in Austin in a regional than anywhere else.

How random is Utah repeating and winning the tourney? MWC getting some love with three teams in.

Utah is leading the standings currently and this is based on the season ending today. TCU, UNM, Utah, and UNLV all have a shot with their current records but the only ones that have enough sway to get an at large are probably TCU and UNM.

I would rather go some place new, and the Frogs know they can win at Ole Miss. Again, there is a lot of baseball left, but it is looking more like there will only be 1 regional in the state, and 3 in the region (UT, LSU, Arkansas). If that is the case, there is a possibility we can be sent out of the region.

Texas State and Tulane are two REALLY REALLY good teams. Tulanes coach is the Team USA coach in the summer, and Texas state won 41 games lastyear and can compete with anyone. They lost 4-3 earlier this year in Austin and gave us a good game at 4-0.

SDSU doesn't have the pitching to compete but they have some good bats. Their coach is the brother of the Kansas coach that has consistently been in the top 25 the last 2 years.
