TCU opens as two-score favorite against Iowa State

By ALEX HALSTED

TCU opened as a two-score favorite for Saturday’s game against Iowa State, though the opening line has been on the move in the hours since.

After oddsmakers pegged TCU as a 12.5-point favorite for Saturday’s Big 12 matchup with Iowa State in Fort Worth, Texas, the line has fallen to favor the Horned Frogs by 10.5-points within 24 hours. The line comes after Iowa State won its first game Saturday against Akron while TCU enters Saturday’s game on a two-game losing streak with losses to Ohio State and Texas.

The turnovers are the key. Without a couple of those turnovers, we are a top 7 team at 4-0 and we are all raving about how dominant we are.

Hell, one turnover and Turpin stopping his momentum on his pass and we are 3-1 and a top 25 team.

Take away one turnover and about three WR drops a game and we are on top of the world. The question is can we fix the turnovers and WR drops in one week?

Installing the Frogs as 12.5 point favorites seems inordinately high considering how our season has

played out thus far. Any action on the turnover ratio?

Amazing what one week can do to a perception of a team within its own fan base. 5 days ago we were in that second tier of teams right behind the very best and thinking outside chances at the playoffs, now we're questioning how we can possibly be a double digit favorite at home against Iowa State.

Yes.

I wonder whether we could get two scores in a mobile home park with a pair of hundred dollar bills.
