I don't love the recruiting momentum UT seems to have right now. Of course they still have to play the season.

But damn, it's crazy how they squander so much damn talent year in and year out.

Apparently UT just flipped Cameron Rising from OU. This is that California QB we offered after his sophomore (?) year. IIRC, GP coached his dad back in the 80's or 90's at some small school in California, so we thought we had a shot for a while.

He is one of the best QB prospects I've ever seen based on one of the highlight reels I watched a while back.

Wonder if OU flips Casey Thompson now.

What is our backup plan if Rogers picks LSU?

Will be interesting to see where he stands after this weekend. I wonder if they go after anyone else for 2018 as it is not a strong year for QBs in TX and LA. Maybe try and flip Sanders who is committed to OSU. They don't seem to be too high on Tanner Mordecai or Jalen Mayden but that could change.

What is the deal with Bradenton Florida IMG academy. The whole team is top 300 in ESPN? You could win a national championship with just that high school team.

Started as a tennis only facility and grew from there adding baseball. football, soccer, etc. anything parents willing to spend big bucks on for their specially gifted child. IMG acquired it a ways back and really have expanded the facilities and of course they offer certain kids scholarships that include full room, board and tuition to maintain their elite status.

The tennis academy has had great success but not sure how successful their football is if you exclude the scholarship players who only spend a year or two there.

Reese Moore commits to UT, he is a TE who is projected as an OT. TCU offered but most felt OU led. Suddenly Herman kicking Stoops ass in recruiting. Rising was big in the recruiting of Moore.

“it (Texas) felt like a WWE event. The coaches are young and everything feels competitive and they’re excited."

Per his dad: Cam just loves Herman. He connected with a Herman in a way he didn’t connect with any other head coach.

College football recruiting is such a dirty part of the game. Intriguing yes, but the worst part of the game. If we are keeping score A&M has been the recruiting champion since SEC entry. UT is going to do everything with Disney by its side to get to A&M level again. And Baylor who needs to survive and win at all costs will do what they need to do. Articles have been written about Oklahoma State in Sports Illustrated on how they recruit and now it looks like even Kansas is trying to get in the game ... Just the worst part of the game, however is very intriguing as much as the NFL draft.
