By "Summer workouts" I guess he means the camp in August. Be nice if he can throw the ball around earlier in the Summer. Depends on the injury, which is surrounded by mystery. Is GP back?
Sounds like it finally got warm enough yesterday for the Frogs' hands to thaw out. Night baseball in Kansas in early March. Ugh. Definitely a kind of home field advantage.
For "newcomers" to this forum (i.e. those who started this century) Wes' early name on this forum was Tired of Frank. Then later, Tired. Frank was a great ambassador for the school, and was an excellent baseball coach, with his teams playing on what has to be one of the strangest fields in...
If I never see the aggy corps befouling our campus again it will still be too soon. Can't even think about the SWC days when we hosted aggy without having a little PTSD. Oh, the horror...
It ain't out defense that worries me. BYU rebounds well and has less than 11 turnovers per game. That is the worst combination of stats for the Frogs' offense. If we can't score on fast breaks, we have an absolutely pathetic offense. Good rebounding and ball security really hurt a fast break...
I disagree that the linebacking was really slow. They played really slowly. The impression I got for most games from the defense was confusion. Hesitation before reacting...not good for the second year in a defense. Blown coverages many times, which surprised, then disgusted me with all the...
I am still a Dixon supporter, but I do wonder when his version of the end of a game looks different that I what I saw or the PBP indicated. Always ragging on the defense where if the players had made two of the last 10 shots they would have won the game, while playing the same defense.
He...
I like the idea of a flexibility coach. Good flexibility has to help with injuries, especially with ones like hamstring pulls. I would think a strong flexible body would help the players feel good and by extension, play better.
A good example of how the uniforms are for the players. Penn State and UT and Bama can stay with their jerseys due to the length of time that those have been around. Oregon and TCU type teams have to rely on more to get players' attention.
Ron's problems were not normally published. But I am sure a lot would have happed that was not made public knowledge. But the Parents' Day game was one thing I remember. I think there was an article or two in the Skiff. Any more public disclosure probably would have been considered "whiney"...
